About

I love problem solving and all things data. I really enjoy automating systems, and building systems/pipelines that are useful and effective.

My Story

I've been programming and messing with electronics since I was young, trying to bend a raspberry pi to my will. Then as I took more statistics classes, I fell in love with data, collecting it, modeling it, presenting it, the whole deal.

I am becoming (in my opinion) a strong AI engineer, who likes to use AI to solve problems where it makes sense. I think that part of my value in this area is in understanding the whole data pipeline, and being familiar with how data is stored, cleaned, analyzed, and presented.

I really enjoy playing volleyball, serving at my church playing games with my family, and learning/reading about things that help me grow.

How I Work

Never Stop Asking Why

Curiosity is our biggest asset when it comes to solving problems or doing the best work. Asking "Why does this work like this?" "What does my work affect?" "What does my work rely on, and how good are those sources?" "Does it have to work like this, or is there a better way?" I think that growth comes from understanding, and you can't understand something if you first don't ask why.

Thorough Communication Is Effective Communication

I work well in a team, because I can communicate effectively and take the time to ensure that everyone is on the same page. I ask questions when I don't understand what is being communicated, and I take the time to ensure that everyone is updated on progress. I find that keeping everyone on a team (if it's a small team) is an effective way to keep everyone informed of the goal that we're working towards.

42nd Time's the Charm!

I think that the best thing that you can do for an idea is to build it easily and quickly (in whatever form that looks like) so you can see where it fails and don't have to try and figure everything out before anything is built. When you test it, you can see where a project fails, and can quickly fix it and test again before deploying, scaling, or building more.

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking for any Data or AI internship or full time role in the greater Phoenix area. I'm very flexible, and ready to start now!
