Listening Is Reading
Audio is not a separate mode bolted onto the side. It is the same document, read aloud, so you can switch between your eyes and your ears without losing your place.
Reader / Audio / Signing
Your personal document reader, with audio and signing built in.
Heads up: the translate feature is not built yet, and the subscription service is not live. Everything else you see in the video works today.
Open Lamp Light →I am a very active and busy person, and being in school means having to study a textbook. I wanted a way to read my textbook (my food supply chain textbook, which also inspired my farmstead world project!) and work on something with my hands. I was frustrated with existing PDF apps and their reading aloud capabilities, so I had to make my own. A little bit of trial and error later and I had built Lamp Light!
You bring a document into Lamp Light and it stays the same document whether you read it on screen, listen to it, or sign it. The audio turns the text into something you can play, pause, and follow along with. When you are ready to sign, the signature goes onto the document in the same view. When you are done, the signed copy stays with the document instead of disappearing into a downloads folder.
Audio is not a separate mode bolted onto the side. It is the same document, read aloud, so you can switch between your eyes and your ears without losing your place.
Most readers stop at the last page. Lamp Light keeps going: when the document needs a signature, you can add it without printing, scanning, or opening another tool.
This is a reader for one person's documents, not a contract platform for a legal department. That means fewer settings, fewer accounts, and a flow built around getting through your own paperwork.
Lamp Light is still in development. Next up is support for more document formats, better
voices, and the ability to translate and read in other languages. This will take a significant
investment in marketing and hosting (to the tune of about $5,000), so it will sit on the shelf as just a simple reader for now.
